In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Location close to Termini and the sights — Guests consistently rate the position highly: Termini Station is about five minutes' walk away, Santa Maria Maggiore is roughly 100 m from the hotel, and many central sights are walkable.
  • Daily housekeeping and clean rooms — Several reviewers note the room was cleaned every day, with bed linen and towels changed daily, and describe the accommodation as very clean and freshly renovated.
  • Breakfast that gets consistent praise — The continental breakfast is a recurring highlight: croissants, pastries, eggs, cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt, juice and coffee, often served in a courtyard.
  • Attentive, helpful staff — Reception earns particular thanks across reviews, with guests describing staff as polite, responsive and quick to act on requests.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Rooms and cleanliness is the weakest category — Guest scores for rooms and cleanliness sit at 5 out of 10 — lower than any other rated category — and one reviewer calls the hotel 'modest'.
  • Breakfast does not always land — The dining category scores 6 out of 10, and one guest noted a lack of vegetables and fruit limited to apples and bananas; another described breakfast as merely 'okay'.
  • Staff feedback is not uniformly positive — Most reviews praise the team, but one guest says a few employees were 'absolutely rude', so front-of-house experiences can vary.
  • A limited check-in window and no pets — Check-in is only possible between 14:00 and 23:00, which makes late arrivals tricky. Pets are not allowed.

“Great position close to restaurants, bars, sights, transport and the tourist areas. Miky Bar nearby was a nice place to relax. The room was modern and functional, with excellent staff, especially at reception. Nice view, comfortable bed and a good breakfast.”

“The service was mostly excellent, though a few employees were outright rude.”

7.3Verified guest

“Clean accommodation with extremely helpful staff, particularly at reception. The area felt safe and central, with restaurants and shops nearby and the Colosseum reachable on foot. The hotel sits right beside a medieval church.”

7.3Verified guest

“I loved the charming vintage decor of the room. The location was fantastic — about 100 m from Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore. Breakfast was a feast of delicious croissants, fresh juices and great coffee that set me up for the day.”

7.3Verified guest

“Excellent location and responsive staff who reacted instantly to requests. The hotel is modest but very clean, with daily cleaning and fresh linen and towels. Breakfast had a wide spread: two kinds of ham, cheese, two kinds of muesli, butter, tasty white bread, boiled eggs, jams, croissants, muffins, sweet buns and decent coffee. Wi-Fi was fine. For the money, it suited me well and I would pick it again. The staff were especially polite and friendly. From Rome we went on to Palermo — that hotel will get a sharply negative review.”
